Peace on Earth, Good Will to All

Spiritual & Secular Approaches to Peace-Making

Monday, December 10, 2007
7:30 PM - 9:15 PM
6:30 PM - Networking

Location: East Shore Unitarian (I-90 & Richards RD)

Please join us for our December 12/10 Seattle IONS Program. This event is aligned with IONS Shift in Action's global healing programming hosted by James O'Dea, President of The Institute of Noetic Sciences.

IONS defines global healing as "psycho-spiritual in nature and only activist in its consequences. The primary modalities for this work are truth, reconciliation, forgiveness and restorative justice."

Using the IONS framework, we will reflect, learn and discuss peace-making for individual and collective transformation.

Our speakers this month are John Hale, convener of Northwest Interfaith Community Outreach, Roger Chapanis, long-term supporter and practitioner of compassionate communication and Non- Violent Communication, and Andrew Himes (co-editor).  Voices in Wartime: A Collection of Narratives and Poems.  John, Roger and Andrew will share their personal and organizational commitment to these peace-making endeavors.  We will use music and film to enhance the program.

We meet at the East Shore Unitarian Church in the North Room located at 12700 SE 32nd Street. The church is in the Factoria area of Bellevue, just off Richards Road near I-90. Driving directions are linked below.

Please arrive at 6:30 for networking. We will begin the program at 7:00 pm and end at 9:15 pm.

We look forward to a meaningful conversation with you on peace making.

We request participants to share meeting costs by donating $5.00 $10.00 for room rental.
