(Wed. 1/30/08, 7:00-9:30 pm) Conscious Universe: Science, Faith, and Activism for a New Cosmology is sponsored by IONS and several NW organizations, hosted by Portland Unity, features James O'Dea, a NW Interfaith panel of Interfaith leaders, and engaged public dialogue.

(Wed. 1/30/08, 5:00-6:45 pm) A pre-event networking reception with presenters and community at Portland Unity precedes Conscious Universe; Science, Faith, and Activism for A New Cosmology evening presentation, convening several local and regional groups.

(1/31/08-2/02/08) 6:30 pm, Intro evening (1/31- 2/02/08) 9:30 am-9:30 pm. 27 hour non-residential retreat intensive workshop for professionals and public entitled Conscious Universe: Personal and Collective Transformation Intensive offers depth work on transformation. Retreat is facilitated by James O'Dea, IONS President, Susan Burns, MA, LMHC, NBCCH, and Patrick Marsolek, CHT. CEU's: available for professionals. Retreat Fee is $180/$200 with $10 discount for IONS members.

IONS President James O'Dea presents a new evolutionary story of faith and love at the interface of science and spirituality, joined by a panel of esteemed Interfaith leaders who will comment following engaged small group discussion. Conscious change requires conscious choices and a living science of consciousness. A new guiding myth for humanity is born of purpose and creativity from clashing environmental, economic, and social systems and informed by an emerging science which incorporates the wisdom of great spiritual traditions. Discover how you are part an integral part of a new mythology, born into a time of momentous shift, shaped by the empirical evidence of the value of care and informed by the synthesis of the wisdom of the ages.
