This month we commemorate our annual 9/11 dialogue on Peace which ironically began on 9/10/01. An evening of the deep peace of Bohmian dialogue preceded the attacks. This year, we are adding a wonderful visual narrative by Apollo 14 Astronaut Edgar Mitchell, “The View from Space: A Message of Peace”. Come see what Edgar saw as he looked down on Spaceship Earth while he contemplated the paradox of beauty and pain in our world. This began Dr. Edgar Mitchell’s lifetime quest for Universal Peace. 1)       COMMUNITY SHARING:
There will be a Networking Room for participants to congregate, integrate, investigate, and co-create sustainable community. We will post a map identifying and locating participating communities that exist or are forming, a "Wall of Wonder" marking significant events of communities and the communities movement, and a Calendar of Events. We will also provide tables and wall space for communities to share information.  For the Wall of Wonder, please bring pictures or small artifacts signifying milestones for your community. If you prefer, e-mail your digital photos and information ahead of time to Fred Lanphear <fred@songaia.com>.

2) AUCTION: [Even if you can't attend!]
If you have a community-oriented product or service, or maybe even a personal item that you're ready to part with, consider donating it to the auction--which is a benefit for the Fellowship for Intentional Community, the primary sponsor of this event. Past services donated include such diverse offerings as a permaculture consultation, a massage, a tarot reading, and a weekend get-away to your community, complete with bed & breakfast offerings. The goods don't have to be fancy, and often the more unique or silly the item, the more fun it is!

The benefit auction will occur immediately after dinner on Saturday night of the conference. IF YOU HAVE AUCTION ITEMS TO DONATE--please contact Harvey Baker (harvey@ic.org) and also 'cc' your message to Laird Schaub (laird@ic.org). One of our team members will follow up with you about how to get your items to our conference site for the auction.

9/10/06-9/15/06 – GATHERING OF ENERGING LEADERS OF ALL AGES: TRANSFROMATIONAL ACTIVISM TO BIRTH A NEW PARADIGM WITH JAMES O’DEA AND YOUTH ACTIVISTS AT OMEGA INSTITUTE, RHINEBECK, NY

Sept 9-15, 2006, IONS President James O' Dea travels to Omega Institute in New York to support young leaders in putting on a week long multi-generational Conference for co-leadership at Omega Institute called Gathering of Emerging Leaders of All Ages: Transformational Activism to Birth a New Paradigm: An Intergenerational Collaboration See details at http://www.noetic.org/emails/omega_event/email.htm.
