Description: Introduction to Visceral Manipulation with Michael Hahn LMP

Visceral Manipulation can help you heal from headaches, TMJ issues, whiplash injuries, chronic pain, stiffness, repetitive strain injuries, neck and back pain or serve as preventative treatment to maintain and support your existing level of health. Visceral Manipulation recognizes the critical role organs play in your body's ability to be healthy.  The organs all directly or indirectly connect to the spine and when strained can cause pain. It is important that each organ have a healthy mobility and motility.  Mobility is an organ's capacity to move in response to your body's voluntary motions, such as walking, running and bending.  Motility is the subtle yet distinct movement cycle of an organ that takes about eight seconds to complete.  This movement happens thousands of times per day and when it is restricted or altered can pull on distant tissues, manifesting as pain far from the original restriction.  We usually do not feel the pain in the restricted organs because they lack the sensitive pain receptors found in the musculoskeletal system.

In this two-hour introduction you will:

•   Learn how Visceral Manipulation can help you heal from chronic injury and pain as well as maintain an already vibrant level of health

•    Deepen your understanding of anatomy and its amazing three-dimensional interconnectedness

•    Learn and experience how a visceral practitioner determines where to work first

Michael Hahn, LMP uses gentle hands-on adjustments that may include soft tissue structural bodywork, gentle manipulations of the visceral system (organs) and corrections to the craniosacral system.  Influenced by osteopathic traditions and practitioners who are pioneering in the fields of hands-on bodywork, Michael has been teaching bodywork skills throughout the country since 2001.  He works with a diverse population of people with issues ranging from chronic pain and trauma to preventative maintenance.
