Description: Apollo Astronaut Edgar Mitchell was one of the few men privileged to have walked on the moon. As a courageous pioneer, 35 years ago, Edgar took one of the longest journeys known to man But what happened to Dr. Edgar Mitchell on his way back from the moon? What was it that catalyzed a journey of exploring the frontiers of consciousness for the rest of his life, personally seeking out a collective means to spread the message of Peace? On this September 11, 2006, a day our Seattle IONS group traditionally meets for dialogue on Peace since the evening before 9/11/01, we will view Edgar's beautiful, inspiring, and deeply transformative message of Peace. It describes the view from his seat on Apollo 14 when he experienced an amazing transformative inner journey fraught with the paradox: beauty and pain. With awesome visuals of space and meditative music, Dr. Edgar Mitchell recounts this story. It's not his usual story of science. He describes the longest exploration he made--the one back to self. Edgar's movie, produced by his daughter as a Father's Day present, is an awesome meditation, dedicated to honoring the beauty that Edgar sees in humanity, seeing space through Edgar's eyes, hearing his message with a background of chosen music to lead you experience the root of transformation, consciousness itself. Edgar describes his own journey of exploration where he sought out mystics, wise men, scholars, and scientists. He shares his quest to bring this message of Peace to humanity. You will find that this beautiful, personal account touches your soul in the deepest, most memorable way. Edgar found that peace will come when we all work on our consciousness and contribute from a place of collective altruism to the betterment of planet in crisis. Following the 30 minute DVD, we will integrate what we learn through dialogue. Join us to "be the change" as we use the DVD as a platform for a deep exploration in the Space of Bohmian Dialogue.
